YieldMax lowered YMAX’s weekly distribution to $0.0528 per share from $0.0554, reducing the fund’s next scheduled cash payment to investors on Nov. 5, with Nov. 4 set as both the ex-dividend date and record date.
The latest amount is below the $0.0554 distribution declared for the previous week. EconoTimes covered that earlier payment in its report on YMAX’s previous weekly distribution.
YieldMax listed a 40.65% distribution rate at the Nov. 2 close. The rate annualizes the latest payment against YMAX’s latest net asset value (NAV), but it is neither a total-return measure nor a forecast of future distributions. YMAX’s 30-day SEC yield was 94.39% for the period ending Oct. 31; that measure excludes option income.
Most of YMAX’s investments are in other YieldMax ETFs, and the fund seeks weekly cash distributions. YieldMax says payments are not guaranteed. A return-of-capital classification may mean some invested principal is paid back rather than income from the fund.
The record and ex-dividend dates fall on Nov. 4; the payment date is Nov. 5.
