YouTube’s Help Community said Oct. 28 that video-loading problems affecting users in several regions were fixed; NDTV reported more than 24,000 Downdetector reports during the disruption.
TeamYouTube, the platform’s official account on X, acknowledged the problem and directed users to its Help Community for status updates, which said the issue was fixed Oct. 28. “Confirming we’re aware and working to fix this,” the account wrote.
NDTV said complaints included videos that failed to start, playback that kept buffering and blank screens. The outlet reported that users encountered problems on YouTube’s desktop site and mobile apps, while some people in certain regions could still access the service normally.
Reports also mentioned YouTube Music and Google Search, NDTV said. Google’s Workspace Status Dashboard listed the Workspace services it covers as operational. TeamYouTube’s post did not give a cause or a timeline for resolving the problem.
