Lecturer, Department of Political Science, Vanderbilt University Tizoc Chavez is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science. His research focuses on interactions between world leaders, with a particular interest in diplomacy of the American presidency. His current project explores the origins, development, and use of leader-to-leader diplomacy by American presidents from the nation’s founding to the present, with particular focus on the 20th century. He received his Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University in 2016.
