Dr Savoia's research has looked at the determinants of governance and institutional performance and how they impinge on development outcomes and policies. Alongside his teaching and research activities, Antonio also enjoys contributing to the policy debate. Before joining the University of Manchester, he has worked at the University of Exeter, the University of Reading and the University of Bath (where he received his Ph.D.).
