Lecturer in Law, Newcastle University

I am particularly interested in how the development of English law on a case by case basis was influenced by the social, political and commercial norms of the time and the separation of the court system into two (law and equity). My writing places great emphasis on how the law affects and influences people and regulates society (and this closes the circle because it is this that influences its development).
