Associate Research Director, National Institute of Economic and Social Research I lead the Employment and Social Policy Directorate at NIESR. My areas of research expertise are equality and diversity, labour market disadvantage and migration. I have a particular interest in public attitudes and understanding of economic impacts and, in relation to immigration, in how public preferences and the needs of employers and the economy can be reconciled.
