Tristan is currently a Post-doctoral fellow at the University of British Columbia's Faculty of Forestry. He completed his PhD in early 2019. Tristan's research has focused on developing new strategies for integrating 3D technologies like lidar, digital photogrammetry, and remotely piloted aircraft (drones) for improving forest inventories in Canada. He is an advocate for evidence based policy and enjoys spending as much time in the forest as possible.
