Visiting Assistant Professor, Ohio Northern University My research focuses on the interconnection of women, gender stereotypes, and security. Previous research looks at how beliefs about women's ability to handle security threats impedes their election. Current projects investigate whether military service can help female candidates overcome gender stereotypes. I teach a variety of courses in International Relations and Comparative Politics including, International Conflict, Latin American Politics, and Gender & Warfare.
