Professor of Journalism, Middlesex University Professor Kurt Barling is Professor of Professional Practice at Middlesex University London. Kurt is a broadcaster, working at the BBC for 25 years, including as Special Correspondent for London. Prior to his journalistic career, he was a Lecturer in International Relations at the London School of Economics. His two most recent books are The R Word: Racism, Biteback Publishing, London, 2015 and Finsternis in Deutschland, Elisabeth Sandmann Verlag, Munich, 2016.
