PhD Candidate, Institute for Religion, Politics, and Society, Australian Catholic University Nicholas Morieson received his Bachelor of Arts in Politics (Hons) and Master of International Relations from Monash University. He is currently writing a PhD dissertation on the role of religion in international politics. His research analyses the relationship between religion and politics in the international realm, religion as a modern Western construct, and the problems created for the discipline of International Relations by the ‘resurgence of religion’ in the contemporary world.
