Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs and Operations. Associate Professor of Economics & Financial Studies, Clarkson University
Luciana Echazú is the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs at the Reh School of Business and an Associate Professor of economics. Her main research interests are in the area of law and economics, with a specific focus in corruption and criminal behavior. She also conducts research in industrial organization, new trade theory and lately she has been working in the area of risk and uncertainty. A common thread in her research is the examination of strategic behavior in different settings.
. She has published several articles in highly ranked peer reviewed journals.
As a teacher, Echazu has received numerous awards, such as: MBA Faculty Member of the Year; inducted to Phalanx, and received the Commendable Leadership Award. She also received the Ralph Janaro Memorial Faculty Award multiple times; Outstanding Teacher award by CUSA; Respect Award; Outstanding New Teacher Award; and Inspiring Mentor Award. Last, in 2017, she received the Distinguished Teacher Award, the highest accolade a teacher can get at Clarkson University. She received her bachelor degree from Universidad del Salvador in Argentina; her MBA from East Carolina University; and her master of arts and Ph.D. in economics from University of Memphis.
