Senior Lecturer in Public Health and Epidemiology, Keele University I am a Senior Lecturer in Public Health and Epidemiology in the School of Primary, Community and Social Care, Keele University, in which I integrate high-quality population epidemiology research (with the main objectives of providing novel insights into the impact of non-communicable diseases in an ageing population) and leadership of the development of public health education. My first degree was in Physiotherapy (Glasgow) and I was awarded a PhD with commendation in Epidemiology (Keele) in 2006. I was awarded a RCUK post-doctoral fellowship to focus on investigating the impact of osteoarthritis. In 2019 I was awarded a EULAR Research Award. I am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (52502) and Health Professions Council (PH44669).
