Assistant Professor in Department of Oncology, Western University
Since 1998, I have acquired over 20 years of experience practicing radiation oncology in 3 continents. I treat high volume of lung, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, skin, and head & neck malignancies and I am continuously involved in clinical research while teaching residents and medical students. I am the Principal Investigator (PI), local PI, or co-investigator on numerous research studies. I hold the position of Assistant Professor, Dept. of Oncology at Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, University of Western Ontario and also Adjunct Professor, Dept. of Physics at University of Windsor.
Currently I am focused on research in the following areas: BNCT; Artificial Intelligence in the Radiation Treatment Planning Process for Cancer; Functional Lung Surrogates in Radiation Therapy Planning CT Scans; Clinical trials for patients with advanced oropharyngeal cancer, localized prostate cancer, and inoperable Stage I Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer; Feasibility studies for specific therapies for patients with prostate cancer and a number of quality of life projects.
