Professor, Sociology of Communications, Graduate School of Business & Law, RMIT University My current research is on money, gender and family violence among the Anglo-Celtic and Indian communities in Australia. Gender is a continuing motif in my research on globalization and money, the sociology of money and banking, the sociology of migration and remittances, and the user centred design of information and communication technologies. My latest book is 'Money, Migration and Family: India to Australia' (2016: Palgrave Macmillan). My other recent books are 'Globalization and Money: A Global South Perspective (2013: Rowman & Littlefield), and 'The Girls Ate Last' (2013: Angsana Publications). Supriya co-leads the AsiaPacific @ RMIT initiative at RMIT University.
