Sir Bernard Lovell chair of Astrophysics and Director of Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics, University of Manchester I'm a professor of astrophysics with a strong interest in the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI). I am also the vice-chair of the Int. Academy of Astronautics SETI Permanent Committee (SETI PC). I have published over 150 refereed journal papers, and was previously Director of ASTRON (The Netherlands Institute for Radio Astronomy) and JIVE (Joint Institute for VLBI in Europe).
