Ritesh Chugh

Ritesh Chugh is a Professor in Information and Communications Technology at Central Queensland University, Australia. As a socio-technological expert, his research focuses on the influence and impact of information technologies on humans and organisations. He adopts an interdisciplinary approach, exploring socio-technical aspects of information technologies/systems, including systems management, social media, educational technologies, and technology-enhanced learning. His work has been widely published in high-quality refereed journals, and he has contributed to numerous book chapters and conference papers.

Ritesh’s commitment to excellence in teaching and research has earned him several accolades, including the national Best Practice in International Education Award from the International Education Association of Australia, and the Dean’s Award for Mid-Career Research Excellence. Additionally, he has received the Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Good Practice in Learning and Teaching, and a Staff Award for his contributions to international education.

Actively engaged in public scholarship, Ritesh shares his expertise on socio-technological issues with national and international audiences through various media outlets. He has been featured in prominent publications such as The Age, The Australian, The Conversation, SBS, Sydney Morning Herald, and The Guardian, and has been a frequent guest on radio talkback shows.

Ritesh is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and a Senior Member of the Australian Computer Society. Outside of academia, he enjoys philately and numismatics.
