Dr. Erin Hofmann is Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Studies in Sociology at Utah State University. A social demographer, Dr. Hofmann's research focuses on the gender dimensions of international migration patterns. She has a particular interest in new international migration flows - such as emigration from Central Asia and the Caucasus after the breakup of the Soviet Union and how men and women respond differently to new migration opportunities.
