Oluwole Ojewale is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. Currently, he serves as the Regional Organised Crime Observatory Coordinator at the West Africa office of the Institute for Security Studies in Dakar, Senegal. He leads on improving the evidence-based knowledge and analysis on transnational organized crime, and its impact on governance, development and state fragility in the Central Africa and Lake Chad Basin. He previously held senior positions at the Centre for Law Enforcement Education in Nigeria (CLEEN) - a civil society organization on the cutting-edge of program and evidence-driven advocacy on police reform, public safety and security in Nigeria.
