His research considers the contribution of entrepreneurs and small business owners to local economic development. In particular, the role of competencies and skills development within regional entrepreneurial ecosystems. Chris is particularly interested in the potential for entrepreneurship to contribute to poverty reduction and the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
