Andrew Blum is the Executive Director of the University of San Diego's Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice. Formerly at the United States Institute of Peace in Washington DC, he has worked on peacebuilding initiatives in countries around the world including Sudan, South Sudan, Nigeria, Iraq, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Guyana, as well as close to home in San Diego. He is a leading expert in assessing the effectiveness of peacebuilding programs and developing strategies leverage research and evidence to increase that effectiveness. He's also a dad, cyclist, dog lover, and aspiring whiskey aficionado.
