An EconoTimes perspective

Antje Deckert

Associate professor, Auckland University of Technology

Associate professor, Auckland University of Technology As a specialist in criminology and criminal justice and as a scholar-activist, I have dedicated my career to anti-racism and centring Indigenous voices. My research and teaching consider how academic criminology continues to contribute to the oppression of Indigenous peoples. In collaboration with like-minded scholars across the globe, I push the edges of criminology from decolonizing the discipline to moving beyond it.
