Professor of Medicine, Lancaster University My broad research interests are in the areas of public health and undergraduate medical education. My public health research looks at infectious diseases and the role of paediatric public health in secondary care (with a focus on children's public health in acute care settings). My education research focuses on the hidden aspects of the undergraduate medical curriculum - including the role of learning environments and the influence of social networks.
