Robin is a Senior Lecturer in International Management at Newcastle University Business School. Besides, he is the Degree Programme Director for International Business Management (UG). Before joining Newcastle University in 2020, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Bayreuth (Germany) from which he received a PhD degree with distinction. Robin was a Visting Lecturer in Organization & Management at Zeppelin University (Germany).
His research interests are global alliance management, cultural distance, workplace integration of refugees, digital innovation. He received awards for outstanding research as well as teaching. Robin is a Country-Co Investigator of the GLOBE (Global Leadership and Organizational Behavior Effectiveness) 2020 research project and the coordinator of the Sino-German Research Network on "Digital Transformation in China and Germany: Strategies, Structures, and Solutions for Ageing Societies".
The dialogue with practitioners and policymakers is important for him. Robin has provided consulting solutions and research expertise to different firms (mostly manufacturing firms), policymakers, and industry associations. He is a sought-after speaker for migration and digital innovation and transformation.
