Digital Health Transformation Research Fellow, The University of Melbourne
Dr Mahima Kalla is an inter-disciplinary professional with dual interest in health and environmental sustainability. With a Bachelor degree in Environmental Engineering and PhD in Medical Sociology, Mahima is a proponent of the principles of 'One Health', i.e. the inter-connectedness of the health of ecosystems, animals, and human communities. Currently, Mahima works as a Digital Health Transformation Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne's Centre for Digital Transformation of Health. In this role, she engages with patients, families, and health professionals to help translate their lived experience expertise and needs into digital health interventions. She has specialist expertise in qualitative research methods, and their applications for improving One Health. An award-winning sustainability advocate, she is passionate about promoting civic engagement opportunities for children and youth.
