Lecturer in Sociology, Keele University My PhD (University of Leeds) explored young refugee women's narratives of home in the context of their migration to the UK and transitions to adulthood. The findings have been published in a book called Inhabiting Borders, Routes Home: Youth, Gender and Asylum (Routledge 2013). Since then I have continued to focus on the experiences of refugee and migrant young people and families. I currently hold a Leverhulme Research Fellowship (2017-18) during I which I am conducting a study about the undocumented youth movement, political activism and citizenship through a California case study.
