Dr. Tola Afolabi is a plastic surgeon and reconstructive surgeon with a sub-specialization in hand surgery. She practices in Southwestern Ontario. Prior to entering medicine, Afolabi completed a M.A. in English Language and Literature. She has written and edited scientific literature, and is interested in the challenges of effectively translating medical knowledge to the lay public to influence health outcomes. Afolabi also explores health disparities as they relate to minority and immigrant populations. Additionally, she has an interest in improving efficiency and decreasing cost in health care systems.
