Katrina Lee-Koo

Senior Lecturer in International Relations, Monash University

Katrina Lee-Koo's broad research interests are in feminist IR, critical security studies, and the politics of conflict and post-conflict zones with a particular focus on the work of the international community.

During 2012-2014 Katrina will be the Chief Investigator on an ARC Discovery Project entitled Gender after Conflict. This builds on her existing teaching and research into this field.

At the undergraduate and post-graduate levels Katrina teaches Cartographies of Security: Security Studies and World Politics, Non-Traditional Approaches to Security, Introduction to International Relations: Concepts and Foundations, The Cold War, 1945-1989 (co-taught with Dr Douglas Craig) and The Gendered Politics of War.

In 2010, Katrina received an Australian Learning and Teaching Council's (ALTC) Citation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning and she is also a recipient of the ANU Vice Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching.

Katrina undertakes research-based training and consultancies with a range of government, civil and military-based organisations in the fields of gender, security, conflict and peacebuilding.

Katrina is currently an Associate Editor for the Routledge published International Feminist Journal of Politics.
