Associate Research Fellow, Faculty of Arts and Education/School of Education, Deakin University Katrin completed a Bachelor of Media and Communication/Bachelor of Nutrition Science double-degree with Distinction in 2019, at Queensland University of Technology. Her cross-disciplinary background is reflected in her postgraduate research interests, with her PhD project focussing on how the design and uses of infant feeding and baby-tracking applications shape the experience of contemporary parenthood in Australia. Her current work explores parental concerns and strategies of managing young children's data privacy, and seeks to test popular baby apps to gain insights into their data sharing capacities and practices.
