I have a BSc in Physics (U. Adelaide), a BA(Hons) in English (U Adelaide) and a doctorate from the University of Oxford, where I studied as a Rhodes scholar. My books include 'Reading Popular Physics' (Ashgate 2007), 'Antarctica in Fiction' (Cambridge 2012) and 'South Pole: Nature and Culture' (Reaktion 2016). I currently hold an ARC Future Fellowship, split between the School of Humanities and Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies at the University of Tasmania.
