Professor of Practice, School of Architecture and Built Environment, University of Newcastle I have an M.Litt form the University of Cambridge 1967. I was the Professor of Architecture at the University of Sydney from 1992 to 1996 and Professor at Newcastle since 2011. I was Chair of the NSW Heritage Council from 2012 to 2015. In 2012 I was awarded the Australian Institute of Architects Gold Medal. In 2007 Republic of France, le Chevalier de l’ordre des l’Arts et des Lettres- “Significant contribution to the enrichment of the French Cultural inheritance”: for advice and plannning of Paris’s 2012 Olympic Games I have been the NT Government Architect from 2013-2018
