Senior Lecturer in Parasite Epidemiology, School of Natural and Environmental Sciences, Newcastle University I graduated from Imperial College with a BSc Hons in Zoology and stayed on to complete a PhD in Biology focusing on the epidemiology of parasitic infections in developing countries, mainly in Africa. My interest in parasitology continued at the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute, Cambridge University and Durham University, taking an interdisciplinary approach that combines information from genetics, ecology, ethnography and immunology to yield novel inferences. I currently focus my research on climate change and the so-called Neglected Tropical Diseases.
