Doctoral student, University of Adelaide Rebecca is a PhD student in science and technology studies at the University of Adelaide, where she studies public and scientific perceptions of the development and potential use of gene drives for pest control and conservation. She has previously conducted research on community decision making and perspectives about the use of gene editing technologies in food production and human health, and preferences regarding animal welfare in livestock industries. She has a long-standing interest in multifunctional food and farming systems research, as well as in hazard and disaster management.
