Lecturer in Law, Griffith University Simon's research focusses on international criminal law and international humanitarian law, bringing doctrinal rigour together with an engagement with legal theory and more critical perspectives of international law. He is interested in exploring doctrinal dilemmas that reveal the underlying structures or values of the legal regime, and thinking about whether these can be supported or resisted. This has included considering the legal challenges connected with the defence and security applications of science and technology, as well as broader research and teaching interests in related domestic legal regimes.
