Professor, University of Pretoria I am a clinician scientist working as a consultant HIV clinician and heading the HIV Immunopathology laboratory in the Department of Immunology at the University of Pretoria. After obtaining a medical degree (MBChB), I completed a Masters degree in Biomedical Ethics and a Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. I have two PhDs, one in Philosophy (Ethics) and one in Immunology. I am currently the president of the South African Immunology Society (SAIS).
