Assistant Professor of Ecology, Behavior and Evolution, University of California, San Diego I was a Smithson Fellow at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute (as it used to be called), a Junior Life Sciences Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study in Berlin and an NSF Postdoctoral Fellow at Colorado State University in the Department of Fish Wildlife and Conservation Biology. Prior to my new and current role as an assistant professor, I founded and still serve in leadership of Trunks & Leaves, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to conservation of Asian elephants and their habitats.
