I am a Senior Lecturer in counselling/ psychological therapies at the university of Lincoln and the Programme Lead for the MSc Counselling. I previously led the undergraduate counselling programmes and the MSc Mental health, wellbeing and resilience at Bishop grosseteste University in Lincoln. I hold a masters degree in counselling and post graduate certificates in Telephone Guidance and Social Science. My undergraduate degree included media studies.
I am a counsellor and mindfulness teacher in private practice, with over 20 years experience in the helping professions, working in the public, private and charity sectors.
Research interests presently include: developing methods for film therapy, monster imagery, neurodivergence and counselling, post traumatic stress, grief and mindfulness.
