Professor of Earth Observation and Climate, University of Exeter I am an atmospheric and oceanic research scientist, with a background in mathematics and electronic engineering, and I am a Professor in Earth Observation and Climate at the University of Exeter. My research has included instrument design and in field measurements, through to global analyses that exploit machine learning techniques, the design of large satellites. And most of my work focusses on climatically important cycles in the ocean, but also in the atmospheric layers from sea level up to the edge of space.
