Melissa is currently a master's student at the University of Alberta in the department of Secondary Education and
a teacher of humanities in a secondary school.
Recently, Melissa has been the recipient of the Prime Minister’s Teaching Award for Outstanding Achievement through her work in her high school social studies classroom and work with Terror Management Theory.
