Research Associate, University of Oxford April spent eight years in conservation management and research positions in the western Indian Ocean region, including as the science coordinator for Aldabra Atoll, a marine UNESCO world heritage site. April completed her PhD at the University of Oxford and now specialises in marine protected area management in the Western Indian Ocean. This role is geared towards improving the management of island ecosystems to enhance their resilience to the impacts of climate change and other threats.
