Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Family Medicine, University of Calgary As a family physician, I have dedicated my career to caring for vulnerable patients, in particular refugees. In addition to clinical work, I advocate locally, nationally and internationally for refugees. I am the Medical Director of the Calgary Refugee Health Program and in my teaching role at the University of Calgary, I teach medical students and residents about immigrant and refugee health. In 2023, I was appointed as Chair of the North American Refugee Health Conference, an international conference attended by 750 refugee healthcare providers, academics, and policy-makers.
