Doctoral Researcher, Institute of Environmental Sciences, Leiden University Oscar Rueda is a doctoral researcher at Leiden University and a senior managing consultant at South Pole. His past research on carbon dioxide removal (CDR) includes a scientific framework to assess CDR methods holistically, published in Global Environmental Change. The framework is the foundation of WBCSD’s corporate guide to responsible removals adoption. Oscar was the lead author of the scientific framework study and a co-lead author of WBCSD’s responsible removals guide. In October, Oscar joined the European Commission Expert Group meeting on industrial carbon removals.
