Research Scholar, International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) Richard is a research scholar at IIASA, currently working to evaluate the impacts that alternative future land-use scenarios could have on European biodiversity via ecological modelling. He previously completed his PhD at Imperial College London/ZSL/NHM, where he used quantitative approaches (including text-analysis) to better collate and synthesise global biodiversity data and improve our understanding of ecological responses to human activity.
