I am the author of World of Letters: Reading Communities and Cultural Debates in Early Apartheid South Africa (2014) and co-editor with Rebecca Fasselt of The Short story in South Africa: Contemporary Trends and Perspectives (2022). I have published widely in the fields of African print cultures, book history and South African intellectual history.
