Senior Lecturer in Economics, Te Herenga Waka — Victoria University of Wellington Yigit Saglam is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Economics and Finance of Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand. Yigit received his PhD in Economics from the University of Iowa in 2010. In his PhD thesis, he worked on optimal pricing and allocation of water, using stochastic dynamic programming methods with functional approximations. While Yigit continues his research in this area, he has also been working on optimal environmental taxation in oligopoly markets, structural estimation of housing auctions, and econometric estimation of joint decisions in discrete choice models.
