My research is focused on the evolution, development and regeneration of the vertebrate dentition and the development and patterning of skin appendages. My work primarily involves the study of fishes from sharks to pufferfish, for example we address how studying the continuously regenerative shark dentition may help our understanding of how all vertebrate dentitions develop and regenerate, including humans.
