PhD Student/Researcher, University of Michigan My research on comparative politics in the Middle East follows three main streams. First, I am interested in how discriminatory legislation against ethnic minorities affects loyalty to the state. Second, I research how group economic decisions impact national identity. Finally, I consider how business networks impact firm performance, national identity, and development. I hold a BA in History from Haverford College and a MPP and MA in Middle Eastern and North African Studies, both from the University of Michigan.
