Fuad Abubakar Mohammed is the Head of Ghana Cocoa Marketing Company (GCMC) UK Ltd. and a Simon Industrial and Professional Fellow with the Global Development Institute (GDI) at the University of Manchester. For nearly 15 years, he has handled various responsibilities within Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD)/Cocoa Marketing Company GH. (CMC) from Research, Monitoring & Evaluation, Trading, Crop Forecasting and Agri-weather Intelligence.
On a pro-bono level, Fuad also leads a team at MeteoAgro West Africa with focus on enabling smallholder farmers' access and understanding of weather forecasts to achieve improved climate change resilience in West Africa. He has a background in Economics & Statistics, Development Studies and Weather/Data Analytics and has published in academic and non-academic outlets.
