Apple made macOS 27.3 available to developers on Nov. 3; its Finder preview now renders Markdown files with their formatting.

In Finder, highlight a Markdown document and tap the space bar to invoke Quick Look. The preview preserves document structure and styling, including heading levels, text emphasis, list formatting and hyperlinks.

Markdown also has a role in Apple's Siri AI app-action preview. Developers can use app skills to bundle multiple actions into one Siri interaction, with a SKILL.md file guiding Siri through tasks involving the app. EconoTimes previously covered Apple's developer preview for connecting third-party apps to Siri. The preview is available to developers testing software version 27.3 across iOS, iPadOS, macOS and visionOS.
