Three young adults will present three of the Church of Scientology-supported humanitarian programs to the group; Foundation for a Drug-Free World, United for Human Rights and The Way to Happiness. Each is its own non-profit organization, educating and eradicating drug abuse, human rights abuses and immorality.
Tranette Engram, founder of S.H.E. said, “It is obvious when a youth does not fully understand something. I believe that they will understand these programs better coming from one youth to another. And the areas that these programs address are very important for them to understand.”
17-year-old Robin Chiancianesi will speak about The Way to Happiness. Written by L. Ron Hubbard, this booklet fills the moral vacuum in an increasingly materialistic society, containing 21 basic principles that guide one to a better quality of life. The mission of The Way to Happiness Foundation International is to reverse the moral decay of society by restoring trust and honesty the world over through the publication and widespread distribution of The Way to Happiness, a common sense guide to better living.
15-year-old Emma Ashton will speak about United for Human Rights. United for Human Rights (UHR) is an international non-profit, non-religious educational program based on the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights. UHR’s purpose is to educate people on what human rights are, creating valuable advocates for tolerance and peace.
14-year-old Veronica Zaniboni will speak about the Truth About Drugs program. This program educates youth and adults on factual information about drugs so they can make informed decisions and live drug-free. These materials have helped people around the world learn about the destructive side effects of drugs and thereby make the decision for themselves to not use them.
“We have opened up the doors of the Fort Harrison to non-profit organizations such as S.H.E. to hold their own events and spread their valuable information throughout our community,” said Dylan Pires, Community Affairs Director for the Church of Scientology.
The Fort Harrison Religious Retreat:
