Geely’s Zeekr Mix MPV has launched in China at $39K, offering a practical design with dual sliding doors and a focus on interior space efficiency, making it a functional choice for electric vehicle buyers.
Zeekr Mix MPV Debuts with $39K Price Tag in China
Prices for Geely's Zeekr Mix electric MPV begin at 279,900 yuan (about $39,000 USD) in China. It has the look of a concept car with five-star safety, the most efficient use of interior space ever recorded, and a reasonable price tag.
According to CarNewsChina.com, the Zeekr high-end NEV brand, which is funded by Geely, has six models, the latest being the Mix minivan. Brand CEO Andy An highlighted the vehicle's most notable feature during the unveiling event. With Zeekr, the concept car aesthetic is now available in a mass-produced vehicle. It led to noticeable improvements in both aesthetics and functionality.
The SEA-M modular architecture is the foundation of the Zeekr Mix. The expansion of the indoor area is the primary emphasis. Thanks to this chassis, the in-cabin utilization rate was able to reach 93%. On the market, it is without peer. Take SUVs as an example; their average space utilization rate is lower than 70%.
Unique Sliding Doors for Convenient Access
The Zeekr Mix also has two folding doors on the passenger side of the front. Their efforts allow the Zeekr Mix to have a 1480 mm wide entryway, making it easier for passengers to enter and exit the vehicle.
Five people can fit inside the Zeekr Mix. There is a 270-degree swivel in the front seats. A total of 1,350 millimeters of interior space is available, with a floor height of 390 millimeters.
Flexible Interior with Smart Features
A feature that Zeekr frequently boasts about is a table-and-movable-center tunnel. Nonetheless, a refrigerator is another integrated feature. There are nine different ways to sit in the Mix. The whole interior of the vehicle may be converted into a bed by simply folding all of the seats.
A sizable floating screen and a more compact LCD instrument cluster occupy the Zeekr Mix's central console, with the latter located behind the wheel. Behind the wheel is also where you'll find the gear changer. An AR HUD is a feature of the Zeekr Mix. With the Zeekr Mix's OS AI, riders may command the vehicle with their voices from wherever in the vehicle.
Crash-Tested Durability and Hidden B-Pillars
People on the internet started worrying about the Zeekr Mix's safety because of its use of double sliding doors. Zeekr authorities have made it clear that the Zeekr Mix's torsional rigidity is improved by use of concealed B-pillars. A crash test was set up by Zeekr to demonstrate the car's safety.
The initial evaluation involved a side-impact with a moving barrier traveling at 60 km/h. Afterwards, a 2.2-ton container was deposited onto the Mix's roof by Zeekr. The driver's door opened normally, and the car's structure was undamaged.
Autonomous Driving and Driver Assistance Tech
A LiDAR sensor mounted on top of the Zeekr Mix is a smart move. To that end, it is compatible with Zeekr's Haohan 2.0 driver assistance system. It is capable of operating independently on both rural and urban roadways. Please be informed that starting this month, Zeekr's NZP system will begin functioning even without high-precision maps. What this means is that the car can drive itself from point A to point B on any road with the help of the autopilot. An improved autonomous parking system is another feature.
Powerful Electric Motor and Charging Capabilities
The Zeekr Mix's electric motor, mounted on the back axle, can produce up to 310 kW (415 hp) of peak power. The acceleration time of this family minivan is 6.8 seconds to 100 km/h. A 76 kWh LFP battery is standard on the Zeekr Mix. The 550 km range is appropriate for it. The 5.5C charging technique is also compatible with it. This indicates that the Zeekr Mix's charging power exceeds the battery capacity by 5.5 times. You can go from 10% to 80% in just 10.5 minutes with this pack.
The Zeekr Mix offers an additional battery choice. This ternary NMC pack has 102 kWh and can power vehicles for 700 miles.
Pricing and Special Offers for Early Buyers
There is no entry-level trim available for the Zeekr Mix. Included in the car's 130+ standard features are things like an 800V high-voltage system, dual folding doors, an augmented reality head-up display, and more. Three different wheel options complement the five exterior colors and two interior tones.
A base model with 76 kWh costs at 279,900 yuan, or around $39,250 USD. The 299,900 yuan (or 42,100 USD) long-range Zeekr Mix model is available. It has a range of 702 kilometers. There are buying benefits of up to 43,000 yuan (6,000 USD) available to customers who order the Zeekr Mix before November 30.
